Hello everyone, it’s time for Challenge 2. For challenge 2 we were asked to design a wireframe of our favourite app based on the screenshots from the application.

The application I chose is Deliveroo.

About Deliveroo:

Deliveroo is an online food delivery company founded by Will Shu in 2013 in London, England. It operates in over two hundred locations across the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait. Customers can place orders through its app or website, then self-employed bicycle or motorcycle couriers transport orders from restaurants to them.

Why Deliveroo?

Who doesn’t use a food delivery app these days! Me being a foodie this was the best option. I have been a Deliveroo customer for the last 2–3 years and love their application, the choice of colours and their navigation.

What’s on the menu?

Every time I use the Deliveroo app, I love the smoothness, the flow of the application. In 20–30 seconds I am done with ordering the food. So to begin with the Wireframe activity I took 5 screenshots of the application (which you can see below). These 5 screens explain the whole process from selecting the restaurant to placing the order and pay.

The user flow:

  1. Me (being the user), lands on the application and decides to go with a restaurant.
  2. I clicked on the restaurant and chose the food I would like to eat.
  3. I have to choose the type of sauce I would like to have with the food.
  4. I land on the order summary page, where I can see how much I have to pay for the food.
  5. Lastly, I pay for my food and wait for the food.

Wireframes and prototypes

Thinks I learned:

As I love to work around designs and artwork, I loved this challenge. I believe wireframe is one of the most crucial steps for any website or any application. While working on the wireframe process I learned a lot of new things. The most important part is to know where to place different items. Because that will prove the success of the product.
